- Uses generation-specific informational cues and media habits to appeal to target audience
Aabode started from my own wish that, as a young professional, I could have had the financial forsight to better plan for my own life, and my own home. I felt that I just wasted a lot of time, working in NYC and not saving, rather just having a good time all the while I could have been doing both.
Home ownership, especially in large cities, always feels somewhat out of reach, especially if one is not making the sort of money or is not from the sort of family that avails you that option.
Aabode is the sort of app that aims to break down financial and home owning information to help planning and process of buying a home. Aabode talks about employment, budget, savings, interest rates and more, declawing the daunting experiences of plain person economics. In the process, users feel more comfortable and armed with the knowledge that the process of home ownership can start at any income with any amount of money.
Aabode also maintains a relationship with the user, no matter where they are in the process. I often describe Aabode as a savvy friend and home owning whisperer. Aabode nudges you to save a little every paycheck, to gather and update financial information in-app, to understand interest rates and when home ownership is a better option than renting, to know your rights as a buyer dealing with a broker or agent, and to close on a home in efficient, painless style. Aabode is pure, unbiased, friendly.
The process is user-sensitive. Information is quick and short, catering to the Tiktok generation, but offering ways for you to linger and explore relevant information.
What we created is a fun and very powerful tool that can sit actionably on the phone, strategically prompting users to save, inquire, and ultimately purchase a home.
